Hi Toto, would be keen on a moderate trip as I will have Ramon. Also wish to be back in time for the ATNR. Open for options, will stay tuned.

You can take SH 16 up to Kumeu, turn off to the coast hit Bethels beach, then cruise along Scenic drive out to Piha and back along Scenic drive to Titarangi village for lunch at Hells Pizza. That would be a solid 2-3 hr ride and some of the best cornering practice you can get.

I do this route quite often and it is bloody awesome!

Turn left on the road that goes over the railway lines in Kumeu town, then take the first left again and then it is sign posted form there on (from memory).

Oh cool - Havent seen Ramon since the last hollidays. I was thinking maybe half coroloop - a nice 4-5 hour ride with a good stop over at Goroglen for refreshements.

There's a map in the SMC ride thread here:

Although I think it might be a shortened version (yet to do a full loop myself).

Do the full loop, i.e. not the kopu hills, go down through whanga to waihi then across the gorge to paeroa, then back from there...

or you could do a figure 8 of the loop?

So what's the deal Toto? I might take a day off this week and would be keen for a pre-coro loop loop to compliment the Coro loop I did on Sunday
