Castrol TTS is one good one, but there are other good synthetics out there.

TTS is good because no matter where you're stuck, you can find a Repco to sell some to you.

Use Amsol 100:1 if you can find it.

I hear good things about Castrol TSS.

What would you guys run in a Race Tuned RGV250 (running on race fuel)?

You can't go too wrong as long as you buy a Fully synthetic espically in a RGV250, personal preference at the end of the day. Try not to mix your oil's too, some bad things come about if you do( thats what ive heard)

TTS or Silkolene. Though I'd give any sythentic a go. I really want some of that strawberry scented stuff!

TTS is the easiest to get hold of in any auto store (and some garages), and because of that it's often on special at 20 - 25% off too.

I think the trouble is caused when mixing fully synthetics with mineral/semi-synthetics. But if you use a mineral based oil in a race-rep style 2 stroke you're asking for trouble anyway.

I'm running TTS at the moment, but I was using the purple Sikolene (2 stroke RACE?). It wasn't cheap though, $30/litre. I adjusted the stroke on the oil pump down to the factory minimum, and once it's warmed up, it puts out no (visible) smoke.

Avgas is right, but wrong. Motul 800 is a great oil. . . But not suitable for oil injection as you RGV will be std. They used to make a good injection version (think it was 600) but I haven't checked for a while.

Of course the bike will mix it so who knows where DB is coming from?

TTS used to be good for both, just check is still injector safe & avail at Supercheap & Repco, but check to see if your bike shop will be competitive, we want to keep them around.

Make sure you pull out & check your powervalves (do a search) as regular maintenance.
Don't you look at my accountant.

Synthetic is the go, H1R or Silkoline, used to run H1R, but none in stock or available to order from the shop, have changed to Silkoline now and its pretty good
