    Well .....

QUOTE=nudemetalz;1831910]What's a GS500 like to race? Must handle not too bad and be quite torquey I would think (plus they sound cool !!).[/QUOTE]

I Dunno to be honest I've never raced it. However

It's standard except for some great tyres aquired from Karl Morgan. I ran it in the Beginners class at Manfield because. I hadn't ridden the track before, and I didn't think it would be quick enough for the intermediate class. It handles superbly on the new tyres. No problems getting my new down. Got wasted on the main straight by the GSXR's and SV 1000's. But easily made up for it, going round the outside of them on the corners. Bear in mind it was the wobblers group, but pissed a few of them off being passed by an old 5 hundy.

I don't think it will win races, but it's good fun to ride. Will be better on the shorter tracks. Taupo will be interesting

So does that mean if I'm too slow, which I am, there's a good chance I may not be able to race on Sunday in the GP?

I will be if Pete insists I drink beer after the races. That's the sort of thing he's likely to insist on too. I mean, I wouldn't want to be rude. That might cause some sort of cultural upset (these kiwis can be pretty uptight about these things, I should know).

trudes... the GP is on saturday, and everyone entered gets to race, wherever you qualify.. does no one read the entry forms... LOL .. Had another 5 bikes enter today in buckets/ 150s & class is already full, so they can race in GPs but are only reaserves for sunday, if they still want to come.

We need pictures & diagrams (or rude cartoon drawings) or we get confused & lose interest.

I looked at the date and the cost. The rest was just words.

    I don't do words...

We're all screwed! I've heard a rumour about someone who shall remain anonymous who has been for a quite practice at Taupo on his bucket and who was embarrassing some poor smuck on his R1 and some other guy on an R6. Mind you, he has to last the race distance, and stay upright, and not get black flagged. They've all been a problem at various times.

Confusion is ringing in my head.

So when are the F5 races; just on Saturday or Saturday and Sunday? I'm new to entering so please be gentle with your answers/replies.

All4A50s, the f5s practice & race with the F4s & 150 s/stocks except for their F5 NZGP when they race on their own, which is on saturday. hope that clears that up.. There has now been afew top auck buckets testing at taupo at track days as they have not been there before. 30 f4s now in GP, but on sunday a couple are only reserves for the normal races

I remember Ray winning some Taupo races on his RS125 flabergasting an R1 in the process. But a Bucket?!? That would have been hilarious!

Falling off hasn't stopped ND winning a 2hr. (But a 15 lap race may be a different story). Yes we are all screwed.
