The ambo people did a top job of looking after me too, so big thanks to them and everyone else that assisted me to get off the track when I couldn't stand up, legs had turned to jelly, you guys are awesome!! And all Dangerous was concerned about was me growling him for unceremoniously dumping Pamela in the grass to rush to my aid... *chuckle* funny guy!

Anyway, no broken bones that they could see, very sore swollen and bruised knuckles (? how the hell did I bruise my knuckles? Well, I guess the makers of gloves know how riders fall and that's why I have all that hard armor in the knuckles!!) and thumbs and wrists, sore head from suspected concusion... so yes, more dizzy and confused than I normally am. Otherwise I'm all good, bike came out fairly unscathed, ground down a bit of nylon and bent the gear shift, that's all, pretty good!! Guess I have to fix it too as my motto is when someone rides my bike "You crash it, you fix it!"
I had an awesome weekend, Taupo rocks!! Thanks to everyone who organised, helped run, volunteered etc etc for doing such a wicked job, you guys made the weekend so stress free and fun, so thanks!! I'll be back next year.... with Rangi!!!!
Oh, and thanks for the Hard Luck award too..... sucked I had to get an award that way, but it will still be pride of place with my other bucket trophies... until I win the next one for being a drongo!!! Oh and I didn't actually qualify 8th for the GP, the times were a bit.... um.... dodgy for want of a better word... no way was I doing 1:34 around there... as much as I wish I could!!

Hi Trudes glad to hear therre are no broken bones just make sure you keep an eye on the effects of the concusion.
You done a great job out there a bugger about coming off but then i guess that is the nature of the best.

ps Don't swap bikes next time

From my view i think there was contact (it happened on my marshaling point) but it was at the far end of the control area, i to would like confirmation...

For pity sake you could have asked for video though

Good to see you posting mate. You were not feeling too much pain this morning when we talked, hope that still applies.

Yep Trudes now belongs to the racing fraternity.

Falling off and get a head knock, confusion, banged up hands, ambo, and comes back with a positive attitude.

    You rock!

YUP sure was contact. Guy thought he could stick it up the inside but when he got there he found there really wasn't the room for him so bit of a bump off Trudes went and on he went.

Poor guy was really really apologetic and came over to the Welly pits straight after the race to fess up, apologise and check if she was alright, he obviously felt quite bad but what a nice young man for fronting up and checking on her Bucketeers really do show the best comradeship I reckon.

haha, yeah it was me that had the "coming together" with your left bar end on my leg just above my boot, being a little ambitious going up the inside of you and a streetstock 150. I've got some red on my number board maybe from your lid or leathers also. Sorry about the rude passing mate, good to see it hasn't put you off racing.
how did you end up coming down?? did your front end tuck, or grab a handfull of front brake? luckily our bikes didn't get hung up on each other.
yeah. so sorry about that, I'll give a little more room next time.
    Sorry Officer - I wasn't speeding, i was qualifying...

just a quick note from the organisers. thanks all you guys & girls for turning up, it was a neat sight to see 37 bikes on the start line. must have been a few braek down on the sat. do you want GP at taupo again ? as we have to apply, & will only do it if you want it, but i reckon it was a success because it brought bucketeers from all over together. maybe now a couple of mainlander buckets have been here they might be able to encourage more. anyway thanks again . chris
