Have you ever cheated on a partner?

In a continuation from the adultry thread I thought a poll on the matter would be interesting. Now be honest, no one will see who votes for what, just an interesting exercise I guess. This is aimed at everyone that has entered into a relationship, not neccessarely marriage. Im talking from the first girlfriend to the current date.
To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and to endure the betrayal of false friends. To appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded

Perhaps you'll need to define 'cheated'

If you need to ask then you already know the answer

EXACTLY!!!! There are no grey areas, cheating is cheating.

There was one occasion years back when I was out on a girly night and met a bloke. Instant attraction bordering on insane lust.
But I was a good girl and never acted on it however the next day I split with my partner cos I reasoned that if I could be that attracted to someone else then what the hell was I doing in my current relationship???

FYI...a month later I ran into the other bloke again at the same pub and we went out for a year until I headed off overseas...

Fookin hell you's are all good boys and girls. I don't believe the results....especially with all the slutty kiwi lassies and the drinking culture over here.

"I've never had a partner" should have been an option.

considering half the members on here struggle to actually put their keyboards away, and socialise in "real space", i think the results are quite accurate. i mean you actually have had to have sex before you can cheat.

"i've never had a life" would be a better option

I think the definition of cheating has changed over time along with society and technology.

You could be flurting with someone at a party in person which is socially acceptable but if that was online in a chat room still classified as a social atmosphere your other half may define that as cheating.

Texting, and computers are the secret gateway to it. There are lots of reasons why it happens that forbidden lust, thrill, not getting the physicial contact so look elsewhere. And if one writes about fanticies and shares with a stranger on the other side of the world is that cheating?

The mind cheats and there is physicial cheating. We fantisise about that hot movie star or physicially meet that stranger at the coffee shop.

Yes Ive been cheated on and had my heart ripped out...worked through it but there is only so any times one person can take it. It really is too easy cheat and have it purely untraceable....makes me ponder will the ice begin to melt with relationships as society progresses in time, will there be no such thing as marriage and everyone will be one big orgy?
