Tho not perfect, (the movie, not me), I've yet to find another jet fighter movie that was at least realistic in MOST of the scenes.
The fact that they put a KAWASAKI GPZ900 in the movie, showed that they were producing a Top Class movie!

    Ahr :love2: KAWASAKI,
    F15

Did you know I can land a F15 on that back of a rolling Aircraft carrier!
    At Night no less!

So tell me what other jet fighter movies you think are better, or as good as Top Gun.

(That Tom Cruise is gunna be a Star one day!)
    Well put.

BTW they were F14s, not F15s.

Just went into the metropolis of Papakura, and verily I searched long and hard, but alas I was unable to find one single bloody copy of Top Gun anywhere! What's wrong with this place. I did find The Princess Bride on DVD tho...

    Dam! Your right!

I was thinking the F15 was the F16 which would make the F14 the F15,
But your right, What I was thinking was the F15, was in fact the F14, But funnally enuf, the F16, is the F16.
Still the F15 obviously is not the F16, which of course is the F16 Falcon, and very different to the F15 Eagle, which tho simalar to the F14 Tomcat is not the F14 Tomcat at all .
    I must be getting old!
Thanks for correcting me. Wouldn't want to confuse anyone!
    Go The Tomcat!!

Nice ... When you watch the flat spin though, spare a thought for the guy that did that stunt ....

Art Scholl - to whom the film was dedicated - was the stunt flier, and he died while doing the shot in 85.
