What are those hand puzzle things called?

The ones we used to make as kids (showing my age)

They fold up and have 4 panels on top and then you choose 1-4 and then open that up and choose other options (colours from memory) and then open that up and there is a message inside.

Not expecting anyone to actually know what I am talking about but Mrs C wants to make some for the kids but cant remember how to make them and cant google it without knowing what they could be called.

Nearly all men can stand adversity and hard time, but if you want to test a mans true character, give him power....

Yeah I remember them, my sisters used to make them when we were kids, buggered if I can remember the name either.
To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and to endure the betrayal of false friends. To appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded

We called them Fortune Tellers. They were mysterious. Only girls could make them.

The girls I look after often come home with those..... but not like the ones we used to make!! They are quite intricate AND have really rude sayings and things in them! Far OUT!!!

Do they get harder, the more you play with them?
It's only when you take the piss out of a partially shaved wookie with an overactive 'me' gene and stapled on piss flaps that it becomes a problem.
