It was a good ride, probably one of the best I've been on. Despite predictions the weather was great except Thursday morning when we left Auckland. Thankfully it cleared by the time we got to the Parapara's.

In total I did around 3,750 k's for the event. Got home around 11:30pm last night and was completely buggered. The body felt good except for the backside which is still a bit tender after some big hours in the saddle.

    Big thanks to :
Sniper_cbr for letting me use his work PC to print off my route sheet which I errr ummmm left at home.

Vifferman (and the Vifferbabe) for being such kind hosts while we were in Auckland.

Mangell6 and Bugsplat for being a couple of great riding partners.

and of course the Rustys for organising such a fun ride.

    Sea Sore

    Yep, Great trip . . .

    Sore rear
    Sore knees
    Sore wrists
Saw lots of our beautiful country (and some of Auckland ... including a short circular tour of it's western suberbs ) :spudwhat:
Saw too much of the Canterbury plains.

Had no roadside tax assessments (Touch wood).

3766 KM, in about 54 riding hours including all fuel, food & photo stops (in an 82 hours elapsed)

Thanks to all the Rusty’s, Matthewt. Mangell6 & Mangell6’s Mum.

Absolutely agree with you there matthewt and Bugsplat. It was great to meet the KBrs on the foot path at Nelson, how is the shoulder kickaha?

To Vifferman (and the Vifferbabe) no you did not talk too much, we could have stayed for a while chatting and drinking.

And for me and matthewt, oops that should be --- And for matthewt and I, a great thanks to our spouses as well for being the understanding persons that they are and being there at breakfast.

Okay mangell6, what's the story with the rubber chicken? Matthewt teased me with a couple of photos, but I want the REAL gen....

Bugsplat: I've heard stories about people who wear hoods, but I thought they were normally black, not blue?

Congrats to you three guys (and any other KBers (or in fact any non-KBers!) who did the ride) - it was a hard ride, I'm so pleased the weather was better than predicted for you.

Figjam: were you able to finish?

    Being frustrated is disagreeable.

But the real disasters in life begin when you get what you want.

    Big 5 O update

all riders home safely, no offs, no break downs, no pullouts,
a better 50th celebration was an impossibility, altho it was boring on the emergency phone for a week, but I would not have had it any other way.

To all entrants thanks you for making a perfect run, we always say we get the 'creme de la creme' of N Z riders on Rusty runs and you just proved it again. You are a pleasure to organise runs for.

    RideSafe into 2005.

    Lee and the Rusty's.
If you say either "I can" or "I can't" your correct.
