This coming from somebody who the one time i rode with consistany showed excessive speed wheelies, burnouts, and a runner from police into the okahu bay boat ramp area. all in one night, along tamaki drive in auckland.
I have plenty more things if you want to have a pissing contest.
Just dont shake it more than twice like ya usually do.
Because the third time ya know what ya doing eh.![]()

That was the night you were doing stoppies behind a police car into traffic lights to antagonise them. Last time I rode with you bra. Ow
Oh and we pulled into a car park so you and others riders who were past their legal riding time wouldn't get pinged.
Dont remember the burn outs I hope they weren't breaking the speed limit tho
Atleast my wheelies were shit!

Could it be possibly - knowing that he reads KB (according to many post) - that the thought of trying to stop a dozen or so bikers in the middle of nowhere with just him and a single mate was a bad idea when - in a thread specifically about him there are comments like:
When I was living in Whakatane had a similar prob with a guy affectionalty known as Robocop....
Above qoute did happen to him...problem seemed to just disappear[/QUOTE]
And thats not to mention the number of the posters who have mentioned doing a runner also.
So again - there is quite reasonable grounds for having a number of coppers out there.

It doesnt matter WHAT I say or do.......All I can do is warn people (like I do EVERY night at the pre ride briefing)
"The cops know about this ride. If you want to speed and you do get caught, don't come crying".
There are many reasons why the route remains the same:
- It has the safest roads to ride at night in the area
- Too many intersections = many lost bikes in the dark
- It is a much liked route by many riders
- It is the perfect distance/time for a night ride
- This route links best to the other roads we ride
- It can be an enjoyable route even at the speed limit
- I have been riding this route for the past 2-1/2 years and have yet to be pulled up by a cop or have a bin. 70% time I have been leading the ride.
However the route DOES change in the summer depending on rider ability and numbers. If people aint bitching about cops then they bitch about bins! Thats the main reason why I stick to the 'usual' route in the middle of winter - FOR SAFETY.
There is a simple way of solving this whole debate. Either HTFU and control your right wrist or dont come on the ride.
An old quote comes to mind (and I feel I am repeating myself yet again) - It aint rocket science is it?
