No Empathetic is the correct adjective of Empathy. Empathic is a recent spelling adaptation.

Oh sorry - I tripped over the unusual translation from Danish, Swahili or whatever and missed this little bit.

How about: get the middle thingy straight, put a rod down the middle, fill the can up with some of that expanding foam, then pull the rod out? That should hold the middle thingy in place and make your bike stealthily quiet.

    Well it is an idea.
You didn't say it had to be a good one.

And it's better than my first idea which was to use fast-setting concrete.

It's not my fault it's my first day back at work this year and I've gone nuts.
Werlll... I spoze technically it is, but I'd run out of leave....
    ... and that's what I think.

Yes, but you referred to 'empathic' first, and 'empathetic' second.

What i was actually asking. Through the use of many technical terms is , is there a way of fixing this. Was gonna put a bit of pipe in the end so it hooks on the outer casing....... But hey i don't need it to be good or quickly as the bike goes fast enough as is but it might be nice to see what my options are. Also does anyone know the cost of a slip on can like not a yoshi or micron or anything but something usable.... a website would be helpfull.. Cheers

I'm getting a battery for the CBR600 tomorrow, so I'll rev the nuts off it and record it so you can hear what it sounds like. Bloody Marvellous!

Could you get some perforated core (technical term) of the appropriate diameter from a muffler shop and stuff it up the inlet/outlet end? I did this (initially) as a temporary fix for the FahrtSturm's bafflectomy: got some perforated core, cut it to length, cut some slits in it to wedge it into the existing baffle tubes and hold it tight, then stuffed it tight into the end of the muffler. Then I riveted it to the muffler through the little drain hole at the bottom of the end spout. Quietened it down to "LOUD" from "VERY LOUD!"
Then, having deflected the immediate attention of the police and other do-gooders away from the noisy beast, I had time to devise a better fix, to whit - a ploog (TM).
    ... and that's what I think.

No, it's the CBR600FH I've had in the garage not working since I got the TRX (sob) that Heather won't let me race in pre-'89, no matter how much whining I do.

I've discarded the shattered lower fairings, cable tied the side covers to the subframe, and F5Dave (lovely chap) made it work for me. Getting a new battery tomorrow, a 2nd hand rear tyre on Monday, then off to the Testing Station for a new plate.

The hjacking in here is starting to look like an Al Qaeda operation.

The CBR handles better than you would imagine. The TRX steered like a dream once the suspension was sorted. The CBR, despite the steel frame, skinny forks, and lo-tech rear suspension flicks from side to side a lot quicker than the TRX, and it "feels" better mid-corner. The TRX handles better under power though.

So is Councillor Troy helping Jrandom with his seventh pot of cream cheese?

I often wonder why she (Cr Deanna Troy) got a seat on the bridge...
