“Ol Dodgy and Ed’s pissed up road trip/air trip/VMCC 2

It all started some time ago, when all dodgy and me decided to do some rounds of the winter series,
It all sounds a bit Wanky but we decided to fly as we couldn’t agree on who should drive and who should drink , this way we had the best of both worlds and we both could get our fill, Jimmy was more than kind to take our bikes on the trailer, and after a bit of squeezing and pushing, we managed to get most of it in…..(the van that is)!

We got to Palmy on the Thursday avo. .bought some essentials for the get together that night. It didn’t take long for the rest of the crew to turn up, we had a few quiet drinks that night , talking it up for the next day …Track Day,

Matt ,Jimmy and me, got there nice and early and set up quickly, and got testing, after a few interesting laps I was pretty comfy with it all and wanted to preserve my rear tire as I didn’t bring a spare, mid morning and Archer turned up as well, and gave it some on the track,
Jimmy was doing 1.08/9 s on the Friday, and was ready to kick arse on the Saturday, but shortly after the first unfortunate mistake was made, by the Trashman

He had borrowed a front wheel of a mate of his and put a new tire on it.. ready for the next day or so he thought….
That night we only managed to drink a little , but we were in great company, (Frenchy,Niksta,Jimmy,Mike,Drew,Vicky,Archer and Rachel and we had a visit from Aria and Tim)
Of course we were all talking it up BIG for the next day,

After a Shit sleep, (Cos Vicky was Snoring and Drew was farting, or the other way around) we were awoken by the giggling of Rachel upstairs, apparently Brian wanted to put on a show upstairs for dodgy)J
After a quick coffee we all headed to the track

We all signed in, and got settled , Matt did a scrub in, all was good qualifying was coming up next.

In the meantime , my wife and two friends were to fly down for the day to watch some of the races, but they rung me and said their flight was cancelled, the next wouldn’t be till 11 45 that day, so they hung around the airport till then,

    Qualifying.

Went out all was ok but a few things didn’t feel right, pulled up next to jimmy whom I could see curse in his helmet, then I looked at his front wheel, which had an uncontrollable shake on it, I qualified 15 th to my utter disappointment.

About now Luke Dalton came over and wanted to call the bet off, I reluctantly agreed!!(for those of you that don’t know, if I won Luke was supposed to wear a dress)

    Race one

I thought sweet as , ill go hell for leather Frenchy was in front of me and I said to myself, just pass him before turn one, piece of piss!…yeah right big mistake.. lights turned off and everyone was go, except for me who was half asleep, I think in hindsight I was too relaxed about the whole thing, everyone just left me behind,, I got a bit closer to Frenchy through a few turns then Whammooo….. Frenchy was down.
My rear end just wanted to step out on me in every turn and I couldn’t get any drive or traction to speed things up
Race was over pretty soon thereafter and I finished about 12 th I think( im not sure to be honest) was also gutted for Toast who had a little off as well as that Drew Dalton.
I was totally impressed with Mattbleck whom not only qualified ahead of me, but I think finished before me in the race as well, this was his first race event, heads up manJ

I got off the bike, and found my wife and two mates waiting for me, I was stoked!!J
Robert Taylor, managed to tweak my suspension a little as I started to get some crappy tire wear, ready for race two,(thanks Rob)

    Race two

Thought fuck it, go hard or go home.
Had a great start, flew past plenty and braked late probably about 7th or 8 th in the turn then a few past me, but managed to hook onto sloan for some time , braking late into turns and driving out a bit harder with less slides got a good pace on, Sloan and the other were slowly pulling away from me, so it thought go harder Ed….. and I did, but the rear slides reared its ugly head again and had a few moments. But all was good then I saw Jimmy out of the hairpin sitting on the side, gutting for ya bro especially when ya were doing great times the day before.
I caught a few more people, haven’t a clue who they were until the final lap when I started stalking the dude in front of me (don’t know who it was someone please tell me)
I was behind him passing the white flag and the first few turns, I thought to myself, get right behind him in higgins and outdrive em, got close and hit the turn fairly hot, and thought now or never, after a few wobbles at the rear managed to hit the rev limited in fourth hitting the bump shortly after exiting higgings and took em, but braked way to early comin into Dunlop…( but I had a plan) I stayed out wide and knew he would come on the inside, he did and I closed in on em so he didn’t have a lot of room to play with(sorry but it is a race) I went in deep so I could get a great drive out, he came out first, and I was about 20 meters behind him, but at this stage I had the pace and shot past him 20 meters before the finish, I was stoked 7th with a late 1.12

All in all great racing with a few more tweaks, im hoping to get into the 11 s time will tell,
Cheers to those who made the weekend a blast, especially the marshalls and organizers I was wrapped that we got some more track time, thanks you.
    until next time

    You know what?

All these years and I thought you had more than two mates, go figure!

I'm really happy for ya mate, you rode superbly in that second race and showed alot of class.

Roll on RIII where I'm sure we'll see spaghEDDY in the 11s and challenging for top five finishes. You da man.

By the way, I can't believe it took you an hour to type that pile of shit.
