    MCC Enduro Ruapuna

fooken eel, whata day. The mighty MotoFXR did a sterling job of keeping Dangerous and his "hot" MofoFXR honist. After a tantative practice to scrub the freshly doped slicks a 4th in the sprint to get my hopes up of a good result. The bike is now carbing right due to extensive off season testing and riding around a rusty Big Bro made the front end upgrade worth while.

The enduro had mixed results after the fist start I'd cleaned out and was punting around in 4th until big bro got his act togeather but still had a fair buffer back to 6th and the red flag put a stop to my good progress.

Still this gave me time to change the failing batterys in the camera and take on much needed water. The second start Dangerous and That Guy decided to tag along with DC and I. It made for some good close racing and knowing I had superior corner speed I left it to the last lap to make my move, unfortuatly it was a bit of grass tracking and a tank slapper which looks far less exciting on the camera footage and had to settle for 8th.

The GSX was as reliable as ever but the full circuit is too much for the old girl and brake fade was a big issue in the enduro, so I backed off and Ghosty and I tootled around at a nice wee pace.

Footage of the Bucket 30 min Enduro to come.

It was an awesome day, and I should have taken sunscreen, "Dad why are you all red" Miss Bullet asked.
Had some great tussles on the track, a shame during the Enduro after the red flag, I got pulled up on noisy exaust, so that put me out, the pipe snapped just after the expansion chamber. My time was all compromised due to fuel load so early in the piece... and the fact the the VD big looser did nothing for me at all.

The RD was a great ride, both bikes are a bit soft in the front end and leaves a little confidence behind.
I realy enjoyed the enduro, and it gave me a good chance to do some laps, and hopefully get to a point where once the front end is sorted, I should be able to get quicker.

Was a Interesting day alright, sooooo much carnage and not me for a change.
The 150 Nero went bloody well, took it easy in pratice then feed it the stick in race one.

race 2 was the 35min race... fark that was a fast 35min's.
1st start and I was having a ball with AdamB and JonnyB back a bit due to a late start, race was red flaged and I found 15yr old Elise McD on her arse showing pain so I dumped the bike and Jonny followed, seemed to take a while for the meat wagon to arive, end result shes smashed bothe sides of a ancle, and still waiting sergery.

2nd start and I was hauling well, the 2 factory race CBR's broke the 2min record behind them was Buddha, DC, Dangerous and some other clown whom we soon sorted out.
Mint race swaping positions evey corner, fark i was nackered after and my ears are still ringing, from my noisy POS (BTW Ramage and mates it was a std powered FXR that fucked you over ;-)

Moving on to posties and I rode the 250 bogger LC for a few laps then swaped for the 350LC couldnt find anyone to play with so did a pit lane run to scrub time, still couldent find any bugger and the bike was not so happy so took it easy with the odd bit off dumb arse shit in 2nd out o the dipper LOL

here is part 1 of the enduro. Its 10 or so minutes into it and is the restart after Elise's insident. Its nothing flash I was having issues with the camera and put it down to the mount so taped it to the tank with foam under it to isolate the vibrations. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TjPvbzzZKwg
