    ChCh Triumph Show

Hi there Karla ... dont dispear about being grounded today. Those bikes on show were totally awesome! A huge thanks to you and all those other people who donated their time and their bikes, many enjoyed the show!
We took the kids down today, and even they were in awe!
A am a tad dissapointed though, nothing to do with the show, im sitting home this arvo minding the children, whilst hubby has gone for a ride!
I was so envious going home in the car from the show, seeing all the bikes on the road today, so I can sympathise with you hun.
Its such a bonny day out today.

Thanks Trumpy - it was a lovely atmosphere and bike smell at the show eh! Great to see all the faces there, enjoying the day. Lot of preparation by the organisers.

Lol - what more can one say?! A smile is always enough

I hope I get invited back next year, and the year after, and after that ... hard to imagine that in another 40 years my baby could be all grown up like some of the older bikes there. What about that amazing journey across the circumference of the earth eh! Great to talk to the wife of the rider of that bike, she had Little boy enthralled with her stories.

Are the girls or guys in Christchurch planning....

Hey ladies, is there anything planned for Christchurch in the near future in the way of meets or rides.
I've been here for 3 years but never posted.
My Honda hasn't been the mist reliable ride but my new baby should be and I'd just love to meet some new bike riding friends.

    Welcome Retroqueen,

I'm keen to get out for a coffee sometime .. do you work during the week or are you free to ride?

I usually have Thursdays off - so how about next Thursday to Little River or Ashley Gorge? I'm sometimes free on Fridays (pref home by 3) ... or weekends, but generally I will have Little Boy with me then.

The two of us often go for a short blast out to Diamond Harbour for an Iced Chocolate in the beer garden on a Sunday afternoon, if anyone is interested in joining us. (But not this Sunday, sorry). Last Sunday there was music, and it was beautiful - hard to leave!
There are always lots of bikes at the Wheatsheaf on Sundays too, as D mentioned a few posts back. I'm usually a bit shy to go in by myself but would go and play up with group of Chch ladies for support.

    Cheers ~

    Hi Retroqueen
A few off us try to get out from time to time on a thurs or a day off work, often it's short notice but we are overdue for a get together for coffee. Eh girls another columbus meet up-those that have the day off can go for a blat afterwards
If you have a idea for a ride & day post it in meetings.
Most off us just ride in mix groups in the weekends.
Are you going to the Magpie Rally you'll find a few off us there, just watch out for a meeting place for a ride there.
    See you around

Knoe doubt we/they will be out riding... how about a rally in two weeks, not a big ride and there will be a new rider on a new vtr250 comming, she might like the slower company (asuming you are on a 250 aswell)
    cheers DD

Cool, looks like this Thursday is shaping up to be a go (although I think SDU is working, we might have to drink her coffee for her?). Now we just need some sunshine . ~
