the implication of the second quote is...?If true ("80kph in fast lane"), & in a 100kph part of motorway, that sounds like a pretty retarded thing to do.

Second part: pretty obvious I would have thought. If someone was riding 20kph below the speed limit in the fast lane when there are other lanes available to sit in at slower speeds, why would you hold up traffic and piss people off? (these were the conditions/facts described when I made the comment).

I agree that its a bad idea, your implication was that it was "not the place" to be riding at that speedOthers may disagree. Just as i dont believe the course was the place for tricks, and others will disagree.
