This must be one of the saddest threads I've seen. TS if you had a problem with some people why didn't you just approach them? This way you've aired it for all us uninvolved and rather bemused enthusiast bikers for what purpose?

So as I've never met you, in answer to the thread title, no I don't have a problem with you. Should I?
    Cheers

    Merv

Hey guys, just thought I'd clarify a few things since Chris is at work and can't comment on any posts til he gets home tonight........ Firstly his failing to stop for the red and blues was a genuine mistake - he wasn't doing a runner, he just didn't hear or see them. Secondly he's had to put up with me being in tears a lot of the time due to the destructive forces of gossip and rumour at my work, which I haven't been able to defend myself against because I'm off on ACC. Anger at my situation and then finding a few people are gossiping about him probably caused an overeaction, but is fueled by the need to nip this sort of thing in the bud before it becomes really destructive. I think more than anything he is trying to protect me because I've got enough crap to deal with at the moment. We all know he has a lot of really good mates out there - there's just one or two people who thrive on making peoples lives miserable - and any reaction just fuels their actions.

So I'd just like to shout a very load Hooray to all you wonderful guys out there who make everyones days that much brighter just by being on here and warbling on about stuff and things, with a little bit of nonsense thrown in. You're all choice chaps and chix!

Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on what he thought of you) he died in the middle of a City Council session, after making a very loud and vocal protest about I'm not sure what.

A very colourful bloke. I'm pleased to have known him, although I can't say he was easy to put up with. A great sound engineer though.
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

    I'm Splaticus!

And I'm all agog to hear the Crash Story and the Dangerous Driving Rap story, now. Why have we been denied such juice, eh?

Come on Chris, spill. I'm bored. Snot fair to go referring darkly to interesting crashes and dates with policemen without giving details.

Goes against the Unwritten Bike Forum Rules, dunnit. If you want to keep a bin or court date secret, fine, but if you mention it you gotta spill the good stuff for general entertainment and educational purposes.
