Lordy lordy will someone tell me what spiggin season this is. We've had some friends staying with us for a couple of weeks, newly arrived from Jersey UK. On the whole it's been 17 degreesish and sunny in the daytime so I put up a marquee on the back lawn and we had a BBQ, mighty fine!
I've not endured/enjoyed a kiwi winter myself yet but it's midwinterish and the pomms are well impressed with the weather for winter, I jokingly suggested we should have a Christmas dinner but alas other things took over and they've now gone off to start a new life in (parrot parrot homo) or somewhere.
Peace returned to the martybabe mansion, so I took the bride to Cobb n Co for a spot of lunch. Well blow me if Xmas dinner isn't on the menu,I'm not the only confused idiot eh, so we had Turkey and trimmings washed down with cold beer? They flatly refused to microwave the beer Ala pommy stylie. Delicious man ,although I've been none stop farting for 24 hours on the back of it.
To compound the confusion I've had my bi-annual Xmas shagarooni, 48 thousand metric tonnes of snow has landed on Mt Taranaki,we've had gales thunder and lightning, hail, rain and sun. my marquee has decided it would rather live upside down in my neighbours garden and I'm having to dress up like an Eskimo to take my peanut sized bladder on it's nightly excursion to the toilet. Man it's cold.
So, happy Xmas to those from the northern hemisphere, even though it's summer up there and Happy winter to the kiwis even though there's no Xmas???
P.s. can you get medication for pomminess.![]()
