    Thought For The Day

OPEC sells oil for $136.00 a barrel.

OPEC nations buy U.S. grain at $7.00 a bushel.

Solution: Sell grain for $136.00 a bushel.

Can't buy it? Tough! Eat your oil!

Ought to go well with a nice thick grilled fillet of camel ass!!!

The oil price isn't set by OPEC, it's determined by trade on a variety of oil markets, eg. the NYMEX.

Ahhh, I see you've heard of the American Free Trade Agreement. (i.e. we have the muscle so you'll pay the price or we'll cut you off at the knees)

Whale's are a good source of oil and I say we should harpoon the hell out of them. The maori's used to be very good at it.

Besides, what have whales contributed to society? Have they ever had a song in the top 10? Have they helped with literacy? Ever supported us in war? No, all they do is swim around eating fucken plankton.

perhaps we could do the same with the oil we sell off from taranaki, surely we should be able to get it a little cheaper you'd think!?

Thats alright - atleast they are trading something.
    Unlike:
    - Carbon
    - Stock
    - Bond
    - TimeShare trading schemes....
Which seem to run on hopes and dreams (and sink like nightmares)

Wha...? Please try to be coherent.

Hating OPEC is a sure sign of not understanding how this all works.
