800 bikes met at wellington and ride on to parliment grounds.

To protest them talking about raising the acc levey on bikes up to silly figures like $600

Because motorcycles only make up 2% of road users. Therefore they are disproportionately high in their injury rate and pay more ACC as a result.

How much to register say a 1980 XS1100 in NZ-my rego is due here in NSW; My green slip CTP (compulsory third party insurance) is $688.Thats for a rider over 30, clean licence, no claims. NOT happy

ACC statistics for last year were that 80% of ACC claims made by motorcylists were due to a car drivers negligence.
