    He did get life, with a MINIMUM of 17 years. So they won't start testing if he's suitable for early release until 17 years of jail time has passed.

    But he is quite right - he will be out in 17.... you only do minimums in NZ...

    Ironically, his name Sila, in Sanskrit or Pali means "Morality" or "Ethical Behaviour". Now that's ironic.
