Supercorsa or Shinko?

Ive just acquired a real cheap brand new Pirelli Supercorsa rear.
At the moment im still running the stock, rock hard shinko, which is showing only a little wear.
Should I bother swaping over the shinko for the pirelli? or should I just wait untill the shitco slowly deteriorates?

On the southern roads you will chew through the pirelli in about 4,000 k's.

I'd wait for summer too. A GT250 would have a better chance of generating some heat in the tyres then. Besides, a supercorsa aint much cop in the wet from the looks of 'em.
