    mud boy's race report

Round 2, The battle, Luke Jameson

Woke up on Saturday morning about 6am hoping it wasn’t to cold this morning, it took a bit for the other boys to wake up I helped by throwing a pillow at glen, not to long we all got out of bed and got some food in to us then we where off to the track I jumped in glen car with him, the others went with AJ (my dad). The ice was pretty bad in the morning took abit for us too see out the window then when we could see we where off to the track on the way AJ was throwing stuff out the window, it was pretty funny. We got to the track about 7:30am, unpacked and got the gear on for some photos

Later on we had riders brief and warmed up the bikes all the bikes warmed up nicely except for Kyle’s bike which was on charge. Soon we where called up and everyone went up to the dumpy grid and out on the track I remember what Steve told me to do and get in behind the fairings, let the bike lean and don’t get you body off the bike as much.

I was like a different bike it went faster better through corners it was awesome and from that I qualified 2nd!!! I was blowin away I did a 1:26 and from that my goal was to do a 1:20 by the end of the day, I was so happy with qualifying I told everyone.

    1st race
we went up to the dumpy grid we had to wait about 10min for something but we where soon off came to the start line and stalled the bike “oh shit” I said, and start to push start the bike took abit too, I was tired after pushing the bike, got back to 2nd on the grid just in time for the lights to go up I reved the bike, the lights went out and we where off got a good start stayed with 1st (Jaden) till the hairpin then he took off never saw him again. So I just kept racing and went hard. I looked backed about 4 lap in the race at the hairpin and no one was behind me I though I must have being going fast? I finished 2nd it was great! 2 time on the bike it just keeps getting better!!!

    2nd race
This race I wanted to get a 1:20, we lined up at the start line the first light came up and I looked at Jaden and he was looking behind himself, don’t know why but it was funny, the last light when up and they all when out I got a really good start this time better than my last start but I keep letting the clutch out too fast and it would bog then I could hear the other bike just behind me I got the hole shot and I was in the front till the hair pin again and Jaden over took me and once again I never saw him till I came back in. my 6th lap was fun because Sam had catched up to me by then and pasted me but I didn’t let him get away this time I stay with him and pasted him where I was stronger on the corner or fast on the straight but he kept getting me on the s bends where there is a bump and I slow down just a bit so he can past me again so I just stay with him and break later than he dose and get on the gas harder it was great racing, we both came in hard to the first corner Sam had the out side line and I had the inside line I braked so hard the I saw the shadow of the bikes back wheel lifted off the ground I thought shit so I let go of the brakes and let Sam past me again, we got to Higgins and Sams bike die it really sucked because I was haven’t a great battle with him.
    I ended with a 2nd again

Can’t wait till next round it’s gone a be better I’m looking to do 1:18 this time I also did my goal of getting a 1:20, I did a 1:20.779 I was happy. I also have 70points so far I’m 3rd in points William is 2nd with 71points and Jaden is 1st with 94points

Tell, you what Luke, it was amazing to see you out in front and all tucked into the bike like that. If you keep finding faster times at this rate, you're going to have a massive season

Good stuff Luke. You're getting better all the time. Keep thinking about what you're doing. Pity I didn't get to watch much, too busy keeping an eye on things off track. And yeah, keep ya bloody shirt on will ya?

And thanks for cleaning my bike.
