    K5 GSXR750 speedo related

Hi there, have a 2005 Suzuki GSXR750 speedo doesnt go.

Have checked the front sprocket cover, removed it, cleaned any gunge out, there wasnt much and cleaned the face of the speed sensor and the speed rotor wheel thing on the outside of the front sprocket. Everythngs there and clean but still the speedo doesnt go.

Is there anyway to check the sensor itself ??? without having to go to the dealer and get charged labour plus the diagnostic fee to check if the computer is showing any faulkt codes in relation to the speedo.

dont want to buy a new sensor just yet as theyre hell expensive, do ones form other models say a 600 or 1000 do the same job ????

    any help appreciated.

    Thanks

If there was a fault, the FI light would be flashing. Have you managed to check the wiring from the speedo drive by the sprocket to the main loom? There is a connection under the tank.
See Robert Taylor for any Ohlins requirements www.northwest.co.nz

    Hmm

no flashing light, the check engine light comes on as part of the start up routine and I think if you leave it in gear and drop the stand and kills the engine.

Tried tracing the wire up without pulling stuff but got nowhere, looks like the tank is coming off next.

Is there anyway to test the sensor with a multmeter or similar ?????

If not, anyone want to have me courier my sensor to them so they can try it on their bike and tell me if it works LOL god loves a trier apparantly
