Same, and got my best braking distance yet. Looking forward to the newspaper exercise

Haha. The newspaper will only cause the very shortest of loss of traction with the front wheel. You'll be surprised how fast paper wears through ...

Very good. It's tricky to get pictures of yourself riding on the road.

Anyone interested in a day ride this Saturday 31 May?
Check out the thread for "Regular weekend rides".
I'd rather be sorry for something I've done, than for something I didn't do.

That first picture is an embarrassment. There is no excuse for lines like that.

That's a big call considering you can't see what's coming up, unless you only ride based on what's behind you.

Two of those guys are on the wrong side of the road. Is there a reason for that?

    Rick.

Corner wasn't blind. Around 100 other riders in front of me.
Take your highvis vest and go somewhere else mate, aint like you haven't crossed the centre line before to dip into a corner.

If its safe whats the problem?

This is NASS. Everything is being watched by newbies. we need to show an example of good riding. That is poor riding.

Bring back MarkW and The Hovel to show you how.

Umm actually I'm with him. I make it a point to not go over the center line cornering. It's not the track, we don't have the whole road.

For me IMO it's a noob mistake, bad habit and indicates lazy and/or poor riding skill. If you can't take the corner in your lane then either decrease speed or increase skill.

I'm with them. If you can see far enough around to see it is safe to cross the centre line there is nothing gained by crossing it.
The basic difference between a road and a racetrack is on a racetrack there is a reasonable probability there is nothing coming the other way.

I refrained from comment because not being there I can't say you were not executing a legal pass, avoiding a pothole or fury animal or some other acceptable reason. Because you did not offer an explanation I am left assuming you have none?

Stupid phone / Tapatalk, apologies in advance.
