Really good night, starting with the ride over (Cheers Gubb..... good route !)

then the lesson... that was some serious fun (but also educational too! )

Fantastic turn out, as there has been every week this year !

However, the highlight for me has to be the rather depraved conversation at the pub ! perhaps that's just me being sick !

BUMMER! I was obviously sitting at the 'clean' table and missed that conversation, will someone fill me in

I had a great time last night and will have to try and make myself a regular.

I have always had a bit of a mental block with the whole tight cornering thing, but after the carpark training it just seems so simple now.

When turning into my street for example, its quite sharp and theres and island in the middle of the intersection.... I've always been (with the risk of sounding dodgy) a little stiff and jerky and has never quite felt right, but last night coming home I just pictured it with a few tennis balls around it and it was a breeze.
It felt nice and smooth and I'm sure it looked good too

The more I learn the more I'm loving my riding....Roll on next week!

yeah thanks teachers, was a good lesson. Something that we all do sub consciously, but its good to know the science and all that behind it, and why we should be doing it.

On the way home and all of today every single corner i have been doing it and thinking about doing it, even on the straights practicing to. Hopefully will try make it next week to.

Cool. Always good to see more cruisers

Meet at Westgate Shell 6.30, where they do a ride down coatsville/riverhead.
At around 7.30 everyone meets outside Rebel Sport in Albany.

so the question begs.... it looks like it will be a shitty day on Wednesday for the first time in quite sometime. How many of the riders that have been coming out in the shiny weather will be there to brave the wet?

I really want to be there if I can, even it will be a shitty day.

But ... with splint on my wrist and bandage on foot, I can't even commute by bike.

Hope I can meet you guys in next Wednesday, or ... next next Wed.

    Self-confessed fair weather rider here
Hey, it's dangerous enough even without the reduced traction, visibility, etc!

I was cracked by a cage in Thursday night. http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/sh...ad.php?t=91937 Just got one day fun of counter steering, and wasted the long weekend.

Yes, there are scratches on the exhaust.
