It's fun to watch you guys play around the car park. But it must be even more fun if I can join you.

Thanks Mark and Richard. Good informative night.
To everybody else...I'll try to work on my filter! No promises!
Well throwin on the dirt lid was the best idea ever when it was sweltering hot this arvo. Wasnt such a crash hot idea comin back tonight! Rain really stings your nose and upper lip after a while on the motorway
Oh well, gear in the hot water cupboard, all shall be well again
Was a good night, just wished i didnt keep running into traffic so could do the course at double the pace, heheh

Yeah, thanks to the mentors. Good stuff to know, correct lines...
Hope all made it home safely in the rain.
I was pissing a taxi off by thrashing him at every set of lights from Gillies onward, till he roared past me at a stupid speed on the Mangere Bridge. Dumbass.
But I need stickier rubber. A 2-fiddy should have better traction in the wet.
Cheers guys,
Yep, a slightly more sedate version of what we had last week... very good though... I kept trying to push myself to turn tighter and tighter till it was on full lock...
useful stuff, as ever !
yesterday was my third session with the NASS. the lesson was creative and practical as ever, thank you mentors. funny, but my bike seemed lighter and more nimble - all 208kg of it - than it was three weeks ago. i must have learnt something.
the highlight had to be the ride along the twisty Coattesville stretch; i've driven through many times before but, yes, it's definitely more fun on a motorcycle. was glad i made the Devonport-Westgate detour instead of heading straight for Albany. the sky looked like it would open in the evening but luckily that held off until after class. hmm, my first ride in the rain at night in 16 years. it didn't feel that long ago...
Talk about rides in the rain.. who's out in the weather tonight?!
I just got in still in my work clothes.. talk abotu absolutely soaked.
Woe to You Oh Earth and Sea
For the Devil sends the beast with wrath
Because he knows the time is short
Let him who hath understanding
Reckon the number of the beast
For it is a human number
Its number is six hundred and sixty six.

Thanks guys it was a good night last night. I didn't hit any rain last night.
I just got home 30 mins ago though and am soaked. My second jacket from Red barron and it was soaked through the sleeves, front and back. And my boots are both leaking through the velcove and zips.
Hi! Do any of you NASS-ty peoples want to go for a ride tomorrow (Friday) afternoon up thru the new tunnel and along the toll road (which is free for bikes)? Maybe as far North as Warkworth or Wellsford?
Might I suggest taking SH16 on the way up and then SH1 on the way down?
SH16 is more fun.SH1 is easier.
i'll be heading up SH16 tomorrow, gonna go spend a couple of days up north with the family for birthdays etc. Not sure what time, or if i'm gonna have to cage it tho, so i'm bloody useless!
if you end up doin a 16 run gimme a txt, number's on me profile.
Chur!

Aight. Copy that. I just wanna hear a few mean 2-fitty's roaring through the tunnel. But I like the idea of going up one way and back down via another, for the variety. I don't know yet what time I'll go, as I have all afternoon off. But if anyone wants to go for a cruise and has to work I don't mind going after work hours... Chance to practice my splitting/filtering.

Hey Badger. Can't see your number, maybe cos I haven't been added as a friend yet. Anyway, I'm still thinking about riding up to Wellsford and back, possibly as suggested SH16 up and SH1 back down via the new road. Or vice versa.
Do you know when you're leaving yet?
And if you have to take the cage or not?
I'm on 021424737.
Cheers![]()
Well i just got home, and did end up taking the new road just to check it out on the way back... the frozen body and pouring rain had nothing to do with it, honest...
