What's the best way to address the issue?

Change of government.

We've seen it all: petitions, truck protests, media coverage, etc
And they've all failed to get the government to listen.
All the government responded was:

Petition - We'll hold the referendum Next Year.
Truckies - We won't revise our law.
Anti crime protest - The use of Triads is out of the question.

There wasn't any response that actually looks at the problem and say "Hmm, you're right. There might be a problem. Let me see what we can do"

Just look at the election campaigns. It's all about how bad the other parties are, instead of how good they are.
I'd prefer empty promises than smear campaigns, although I still won't be able to eat them.

I didn't condone the emplyment of triads, he is just protecting himself though, the guys at the end of his tether and is just trying to get things moving...... And life should be life, no parole, full stop. Murder someone, go to jail until you die. Victims should have more rights than the criminals. Victims don't have a second chance.
