Have had my bike just over a week and no tacho have checked fuses but nothing

Tachos not working or flicking around are usually bad earth. Google for a wiring diagram. If you had access to a signal generator you could feed signal into the loom at an appropriate connector to confirm the instrument is ok. Triangle wave seems to work best & can need up to 12Vp-p.
