I think it is THE bike for 2007-2008 as it is responsible for getting more people into biking then anything else during those years.

Don't listen to him ... the calander pics are choosen on composition and on the photo not always on the bike in the pic ... it needs to be a good artisitic pic or an action shot well captured!!

    or Rawberry!!

will scan through some of the CC Challenge pics none of those were staged, even the one of a certain bike up to the crank case in mud....

Yup, and it's probably the most talked about bike, and one of the most admired bikes.

Personally I wouldn't enjoy 12 months of race track shots. That's one aspect of riding that I have nothing to do with what-so-ever and so wouldn't appeal to me in the slightest.

My preference would be bike's out on the open road, major motorcycling roads etc.etc. A cruiser would be even better but that's just completely unlikely, who likes cruisers anyway?

I'll be interested to see what comes up! Can't say i'll be submitting anything myself with my bike having enough dents in it to make the moon blush, but I have a fancy expensive camera with the know-how to use it so if anyone would like some photos and lives in Auckland, give us a shout.

It would be good to see a few of the people behind the bikes in photos, rather than just the bikes. Kiwibiker is, after all, about the people not the bikes.

Blimey, you're not allowed to say that mate. I've still got the platter they handed my arse to me on a couple of years ago.

Personally, I'd LOVE to see a dented bike in the calendar and I just submitted Cruiser shots myself.

    Nagash, keen.

I'll give my bike an overhaul sometime, and we can go get some pics of both of 'em. I got a half-decent camera, with no ability with it at all.

    Expertise appreciated.

To be honest... its the shot that is important really. The focus is on a bike of some sort, yes, but it doesn't have to be the newest spankiest toy out there...

I really liked the triumph in the sunset? of this years calendar (funnily enough Julys image), had some people standing round the bike and was an excellant capturing of the moment: people, bikes, chilling.
And for the record we had several cruiser pics this year.

I have an image in my mind now... a motorcycle graveyard, all sorts of old vintage bikes in various stages of repair, bit like Burt Munroes backyard. So someone get out there and do it... imagination people!

And Nagash... take that fancy camera and get some folks to work with ya.
