They are being selected by a couple of select people who expertise are in photos, they are not shown to public all the photos people send, if members wish to post these they are welcome to but only photos emailed are put in the arena to be selected.

My apologies for not being clearer. In post #59 Captain Andrey showed one photo, which was referred to by Nasty.
I am most certainly not the only contributor to the calendar. (I am wondering about hunting down a GN to photograph and submit though...)
