    RG50 Motor Parts Wanted

I am looking for old RG50 Bucket motors, cylinders chambers and bits and pieces, anything considered. I would be grateful for any info on how others got their RG50's to go and how to modify them. Any tips or tuning tricks would be much appreciated.

Have got the bike running as a bucket but with standard everything except it has slicks and clip ons. I have ridden it several times in F5 races but it is completely flat, no Snap Crackle Pop at all. It is slow compared to other bikes.

My suggestion would be, compression and carb setting. Now to get my one to behave...

You want about 15:1 compression. Determined by calculating swept + trapped volume into trapped volume. Av gas only, don't piss round with pump gas. You have lots of options with the intake but whichever way you go, full reed, full piston port, or bigger port with better reed, there are BIG improvements to be had. A good pipe is a must and there really is no way around it. You either build one yourself or buy a race one already made. Mine went alright with a 24mm carb but I did a lot of work to improve the flow. Be careful machining the head. They get a bit weak if you skim too much off. You will also need a better ignition. i used a YZ80K ignition.

Unfortunately it is nearly a waste of time doing just one or two things. They all work together. You need to determine just how fast you want to be and everything must be to achieve just that.

Hoping to turn up on Saturday to run the new engine in. Still have to rejoin the club and get a licence which might require a medical of some sort. I'm looking at some new Spool leathers as well. Just have to see what the guy wants for them. The engine is using a KT100 piston and a short stroke crank. I've also rebalanced the crank and done away with the balance shaft so it'll be interesting to see what it's like.

That RG head I sold you should be ~ 15:1 or a bit more if you set the squish at ~0.6mm, but will need to get the timing right when that high.

    PM sent on TZ350.
Don't you look at my accountant.
He's the only one I've got.

    Do you still have?

Do you still have by any chance spare parts? I'm building a two seater version and am in need of a whole lot. To date I've got the big parts wheels, front suspension, motor, frame, tanks and seat.
