Hi, this be me first post on the forums... so hae fellow scootardshopefully someone can give me a bit of advice :$
Righto, was out riding on my 2002 Piaggio Typhoon 50 one day when the front suspension stopped working, it was just stuck up. Took it into the usual mechanics and after six hours work they decided the tube in the left fork needed filed down and all would be OK, so i paid up and within a week it was stuck again. Asked them for a price on replacement parts, which comes to $200 dollars. Being a poorly student I cannot afford to get this fixed right now, but had the mechanic replaced the parts first time round it would've cost only $280 all up, whereas now i'm looking at a minimum $440 all up since they wasted their time on the first job, achieving nothing.
Bit wordy, but anyway, my question is: does anyone know if its possible to get the parts I need from a wreckers? Or whether these parts are common to many scooters or specific to a few models?
