What is this "Scottish Thread" of which people speak, i've tried searching, but to no avail.

There is a tradition in the theatre - it is bad luck to mention the name of Shakespeare's play set in Scotland.

Thus it is referred to as the 'Scottish Play' so as not to invoke its unlucky name.
