    JJ58 Round Two PCSB Calgary

    Hey Everyone,

Round two of the Canadian National series was semi successful for me.... I finished second after getting smoked down the straight. Here's what Suzuki Canada thought of the race (read last paragraph):

It was pretty funny coming into victory lane after the race with my ratty old bike being held together with duct tape, then the first place getter comes in with his nice shiny new bike and his 10 person pit crew.... It's a different world over here.

Anyway, here's a write up that I get done so that I might be able to have a 10 person pit crew one day

FYI: Calgary has the bumpiest track that I've ever riden on, with the longest straight I've ever seen.

    Cheers

    JJ

    Thanks,

Yeah it feels funny not to be back home and be racing the winter series.....You get so much track time compared to here and it's far more relaxed..... Although I am enjoying the summer weather over here. It beats the dry heat of the Christchurch summer hands down.

It's simple, basically get a visa, get clearance from MNZ, get a ticket, get health insurance, get a place to stay and some transport, get a bike and some tools, get an overseas license, enrol for contingency and go racing!

I suggest talking to Dom about going to the US, as Canada is really difficult to get transport in, and most of the tracks aren't that great. Some are fantastic, but only some......The people and the prize money here make it great, but the US has ok prize money if you have a new bike.....

It's a different world here. I'm sure you'll be shocked at the $$ spent when you come over. I know I was.
