Regardless of whether he loses his job or not I think he needs to be charged by the police, especially because otherwise it sends a signal that rich people can just pay to get out of whatever situations they choose.

Also, if the rumours are correct and his partner did spend time in a wheelchair and off work, I assume that ACC was claimed. If that was the case are both of them not party to some kind of dishonesty/fraud offence relating to that?

However, now that it's out don't you think he should pay SOME penalty for severely beating on someone? First up; assault is assault. Secondly; he works for a TV channel that broadcasts ad's against domestic violence.
