Surely he's gotta do 10's. I did 12.6 on a ZZR600 years ago, and i'd probably been riding the same amount of time jrandom has.

    Y'reckon?

A stock GSX1400 weighs 230kg dry and puts out 98bhp at the rear wheel. Fully wet with me on board, you're talking 350kg.

Bikes doing sub 11 runs are generally in the 130-150hp bracket, 50kg lighter and carrying 20kg lighter riders.

Please come along on Sunday and show us.

Edit: Tell you what. If you manage a sub-11-second run, I'll pay your $25 entry fee. Deal?

Edit edit: Fuck that. You might actually do it, and I'd rather spend the money on popcorn and a movie ticket. You should still come along, though...

What you need is an RF900 Dan.

And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

True. What the fuck is up with that hp rating.

So by my equations based on power to weight ratios, i reckon on your best run you will be 1.008 seconds slower than i was, making it a 13.7 quarter.
    Good luck

Good (previous) smaller rider on 179kg Bluell @110bhp, fully wet all up likely about 270kg = 12.2sec

Based solely on that high 12s - low 13s look like a good bet.

And dude, that first 0.1sec can make a hugely disproportionate difference at t'other end...

    Luck, fun, etc.

So a 190kg bike with 74hp and a 56kg rider on a warm summer day early in the morning would do ...................................(guesses please)
