Collie, WA Historics

Sunday 13 July. Went for a ride down to Collie (about 200km SW of Perth) to watch my Kiwi mate Dave Hamlin race in the Historics at the Motorplex. http://www.motoringsouthwest.org.au/images/map_sw.jpg
Met up with a couple of mates for the trip; Dean & his son on a Kawasaki VN1500 and Paul on a Suzuki GSX600.
Dave was already down there, having gone the day before for practicing.
The weather was a bit cool, but otherwise fine. Great for riding and racing.
Saw some great machinery.
Unfortunately Dave took a fall on the last bend in his second race and couldn't race for the rest of the day. Bike suffered too much damage.
Managed to get back to Perth before it got dark and the 'roos come out to play.
I'm wondering if anyone down South remembers Dave? He hails from Invercargill. He did a lot of racing in the South Island.

Thanks for the info mate.
I lived in Bunbury for a few years, and often went up the hill to Collie for maintenance and breakdowns with Western Power. (I remember how cool that place could get).
