My dads not going to let me race on saturday cause we don't have nylon bungs 'just in case' something 'might break'. Anyone know where I can get nylon bungs in the welly region by saturday?

We also have to tape up the lights right?

I have some that are a bit bent/shorter than usual, but they might be OK for you. If you can get into Wellington tomorrow you can have a look at them.

Saturday is not a race, it's just a track day. The idea is not to crash and if you are going to start getting onto the track for the winter series you will need all the track time you can get as you don't get much in the way of practice on a race day.

Just tell the old man that you'll take it easy. Any yes you have to tape the lights up, but that can be done when you're up there. Plenty of people (me included) should have duct tape.

I should be able to re-attach the brake lights to go over there to have a look at those bungs.
I know Saturday is just a day to have fun, I wanted to use this day to see the track and get an idea of what its like to ride on it.
Looks like Dad is going to let me go, he knows I won't be nuts out there.

    Friendly reminder

I will be going up in a cage (but the coolest cage around: it's for sale too)
If anyone wants a lift I'll be leaving Wellington 8:30-9:00 and staying for the most to the whole day at Manfield. I will have NC30_chick (The glorious leader )with me too.

Anyone else who wants a lift up cos of not having a working bike, or have hurt themselves, or have tyrets (sp?) are welcome to come travel with me.
Give me a PM for pick up time and location.

HELP , how the fuck do I tie a bike with fairings onto the trailer ??

I figure around the top of the front suspension each side then down to a tie down point, BUT if I do that the pressure on the fairings will be huger than a huge thing, how do I get around this one ????

Is anyone going from Napier/Hastings. I am, but would like company.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Can you go inside the fairings, over the bottom triple clamps??
You dont want ANY pressure on the fairings at all!
Dont put them over your grips either. They will just slide off.
Up inside, NOT over fairings is the best way.
