You dont want ANY pressure on the fairings at all!
Dont put them over your grips either. They will just slide off.
Up inside, NOT over fairings is the best way.
Thanks Sparky Bills, I just spoke to Whitetrash, he says compress the rear through the rear foot rests and hold the front with a strap each side of the front around the bottom of the suspension, this sounds feesable and he should know so will do this and see how it all goes .

You bringing your R1 or the Ducati ?
Ive run out of fucks to give

So long as they are stable and there is no pressure on the fairings you should be sweet!

Hard to explain, but around each handle bar, with the tie down looping over the suspension adjustment peg thingie... And one on the back wheel.

Sniff, sniff, I's don't got nuffin to ride on Saturday. When's the next trackday?
And Slipstream, can I have a lift? I'm obsessive compulsive though, and HAVE to sing "the wheels on the bus..." ALL the way there? Hope you don't mind.

I'll pop up in the morning but I have to be in Carterton at 2ish so I'll just stay and watch :disapint: for a bit. Should be a good day though - sounds like there'll be a big turnout of KBers at least.

For around $30 you can buy a "handlebar harness" (Oxford make one, also another brand that I can't think of) that slips onto the handgrip and then goes over the opposite side where you hook the tie down onto to the harness. Repeat with other side. We use it on Hamish's bike on the ferry - wonderful for faired bikes.

Most bike shops should stock them.

Sparky Bills: you have some in stock, you might be able to explain how they work better than I have

    Sure you can
Well I'm used to the girls singing. Since they're not going on this trip, I was actually going to ask NC30 to sing "baa baa black sheep", but "the wheels on the bus..." will be OK ... I guess. Do you do the actions to the song

I've just got it toned down thanx
The eldest used to sing the "Tribute" song (Tenacious D) and "All day long I dream about sex" (CJ Chasez) ....
I mean it's bad enough she quotes "Meet the parents" and "Dude, where's my car"
