Send me a pm and I will advise a trade in price on that shock, co-ordinated through your local dealer.
It is relevant to point out here that at our discretion we will often trade used Ohlins for new. The only rule being that it is one we sold originally and not by any parasitical internet company that puts nothing back into the NZ economy, nor any supportive infrastructure.
Also, as another option to help expedite the sale please post on here the eye to eye length of that shock and the numbers on the spring. Also the stroke, being the distance of exposed chrome shaft imagining that the bump rubber is not there. Such shocks often form a good basis to modify to suit especially F3 project bikes. Aside from if it has the basic dimensions to fit it is then a matter of respringing and revalving to suit the motion ratio that the donor bike imparts to it. This shock has a reclockable cylinder head meaning that it can be adapted to fit a good many bikes, the notable exception that it must not be fitted to GSXR1000 due to the high frequency engine vibration that transfers through the top shock frame mounting. ( There is a specific shock cylinder head for such an installation )
Providing your price expectation is not unrealistic and the wheel doesnt have to be reinvented this will as I say be a good shock for a project bike, also given that we have quantities of perfectly servicable second hand parts for respecs to suit.
To that end I am happy to help facilitate a sale ( no charge for my written input! ) and anyone who is genuinely interested can pm me, once the information requested is posted.

Thanks Robert. The eye to eye seems to be in the vicinity of 332mm. The stroke is 85mm. The details on the spring are: Ohlins 01092-19/70 L215

Is there a way to get this working correctly on my new 08 ZX6R...ie, re springing/valving? It seems to bolt in ok but it rides a bit low I think. Could you space it out to sort this out? Excuse my ignorance but it seems strange that it worked in my 03/04 ZX6R 636 but won't work in my new bike even though the eye to eye seems to be the same.

Thanks heaps for your input re this matter.

    Cheers Marcus.

Robert, the reservoir, can that be rotated down towards the body say 45 degrees? I don't have a lot of room down there on my SV1k, so would need it sticking further down rather than up.

Yes, absolutely. It does have to come apart to do so as there is a locating pin, but not a major.

That's no trouble, I'm a big fatty so I'd need you to fit a different spring anyway Still sawing things off the bike, so not down to a final weight yet, so not in a hurry to buy a shock, but have been meaning to double check that that particular modification is possible for me

That length and stroke correlation concurs with the SV1000 spec card, the spring is a 7 newton and standard fitment was an 8 newton. The motion ratio that the linkage on the SV1000 applies to it is comparitively aggressive compared to the Kawasakis. For any given wheel movement it moves the shaft further on the SV1000, therefore it moves the shaft faster. As shock shaft speed increases so does damping, it is directly proportional. So place it in the Kawasaki ( even at adjusted length ) and the shock feels soft because the shaft speed is slower, as well as because of the soft spring. For an average rider the spring rate required on the 08 ZX6RR is 9 to 9.5 newtons.
The linkages are different between your earlier Kawasaki and the new model, maybe also the leverage imparted because also the spring rates are different.
The minimum set length of the Ohlins shock specific to the 07 / 08 ZX6RR is 340mm with an adjustment range of plus 6mm, stroke 67mm.
Providing and only providing that the top end of that shock will fit in the bike and have absolutely no clearance / fouling issues (through the full stroke of the swingarm etc ) it could indeed be made to fit with the correct length and stroke correlation. But it must also be realised that the single tube shocks of this type have now been discontinued as a type made for late model sportbikes 07 onwards, so there is no pre-worked out and thoroughly tested spec card to build and valve it straight off. We could get it realtively close but as the Ohlins distributor it is also our responsibility to provide a standard of work totally commensurate with the very high standard of the product.
Point of fact every Ohlins shock is specific to each make and model / year of bike, this is quite apart from the cheap shock philosophy of having a handful of generic settings which roughly equate to how much backache you want to feel!
Its not so easy to precalculate how much it would cost to respec this shock but I have the distinct feeling ( in all sincerity ) that your best course of action will be to onsell it as suitable for SV1000 or as a good platform for an F3 bike. At this very moment I know of at least one used TTX36 available for 07 / 08 ZX6RR. If you can onsell your current shock relatively quickly ( without sucuumbing to ''giving it away'' ) you may be lucky.
