    h-d riders forum

Nope, don't need no H-D forum or any other single make forum, we are all on two wheels o.k.?
As I have said before:- it's not the ride but the man astride that counts!! - o.k. I'm P.C., sheilas too!!
By the way, what is a "typical" H-D rider?
I'm 50, second time married, ride a 1200 Sportster "S", me&the missus both wear tassled leather jackets, we wave/talk to anyone on two wheels, I also own a Suzuki XN85 that I am (slowly) restoring, - do I fit the "mould" of a typical H-D rider?

In my opinion, the typical H-D rider doesn't count other bikes on the road for shit. Specially sports bike riders. Went out with girl once and both her mum and dad are harly riders. I was shocked to find out what they thought of sports bike riders. Their exact words were- "Why would you want to be a Ninja turtle when you can get a real bike" (I ride a green ZXR-400).

The most anoying thing of all is when your riding in the middle of nowhere and you see a fellow human being and decide to wave as a sign of friendliness, who just happens to be on a harly. What happens next, nothing thats what. They just look straight ahead and pretend they didn't see you.

Its just like you said scumdog, it doesn't matter what you ride or how your appearance is, if someone is friendly and not stuck up, he/she is in my good books for sure.

P.S. Good Idiea about the Cruiser / Sport / Dirt Forums Spank. I think it'll work well.

We had the Triumph poker run on saturday - plenty of Harleys there man, lots of those silly sports bikes too...and an old fart on a XS 650 Yamaha that nobody wanted to talk to.We rode in rain and thunder storms all day - no one looked down their noses at anybody else,no fuck you,why you wanna ride one of those for...just a bunch of guys and gals making the best of a shitty day.I don't know where all these attitudes come from - certainatly not from anyone I know who rides a bike.

I'ts a question of if this site has a special forum for HOGS,or Scooters or Sportbikes etc.
Hogs have lots of specialist forums so you can reckon on any strays to this site have a need to expand into general biking so they should be welcomed? scooters however? um you have to draw a line somewhere
Your never to old for a sportsbike

I've never met a Harley owner that could read, never mind use a computer (although their typing should be faster with six fingers).

    H-D riders

Woah!! I guess by that comment you come into the second catagory of riders in the H-D owners code!!! (you know, the ones that want to own one - first catagory is those that already have one!)
    Couldn't resist that one!!!

What about a third category - "I'd rather have the clap than a Harley" - clap is more socially acceptable and easier to git rid of....

Aw,don't shatter my dream Oscar - I've been entering every win a Harley contest for years....when I finally win I'm gunna sell it and get the 4 bikes I need.

How come they don't have win a KTM contests, then I wouldn't have the hassle of selling the shitter.

    Harley-Davidson owners

Hey, if all Harley riders are stuck-up wanker wannabes how come so many stuck-up wanker wannabes ride other brands? and how come Auckland isn't wall-to-wall with Harleys?? amd how come every other company makes Harley clones for those that can't afford a Harley? - and I thought the meaning of life was a tough question!!
Seriously, you ride what you want and I'll ride what I want and I won't judge you by your ride and I hope you will do the same.
When I get my XN85 back together I'll be lost -which bike and do I wave only to other Suzuki riders when I'm out on the XN? will it still be O.K. to wear my tassled leather jacket when riding it (some tell me it's NEVER o.k. to wear a tassled jacket regardless what you ride, but hey, I know they're just jealous!!). - decisions-decisions!!!!
