we got some rain yesterday and last night, mind you it's pretty dry and we could do with it, but it's not really weather you'd expect at this time of year that's for sure.

i like riding in the rain in summer, you don't get cold and i find it brings out the best in you, if you can handle a good bike in the wet then when its dry your ten times better. if it gets a bit out of shape it is so much easier to bring it in
but then again if you get carried away you will be shopping for a new bike

What a beautiful evening for a ride!

I have just returned after a quick sortee up the "Goat Track of Death" from Pauatahanui then down the other side to Paekakariki. Fantastic up at the lookout, but the road currently lives up to its epithet. Lots of gravel and shit around still from last week's storms. Also there's a diesel spill up the road line from Battle Hill to the summit. Fucking woo hoo! Also had a couple of close shaves with boy racers going the other way. One in a red Civic, lowered to buggery; the other in some vile yellow Crapola with a myriad of blue lights.

No harm done. And it is a fantastic evening to be out and about on a motorcycle!!

Isn't the minimum wage $9.50? Don't worry bro either way, I remember "those" days. Give it time, and you'll be earning heaps more, and going to work everyday just waiting for one person to piss you off enough that you'll resign on the spot. (oh, try 13hrs )

By the way, does anyone know when life starts to get fun? Someone mentioned something about it once, but I forgot

You think you've got it bad, Affman?

I watched the sun rise at 0530hrs this morning ... sorry, it's now yesterday morning ... anyway, it was a cloudless morning and I just knew it was going to be a scorcher.

And I went home at 0700hrs and went to bed, to sleep through it all!

And I'm going to do it again tomorrow. Sorry again ... that would now be today.

You ride an R1. I thought that was supposed to be fun!
