It's quite good fun. It's quite tight and technical, but just about all table tops, so good to learn on.

oh to get there is really easy, you know the speedway in onehunga, it's nearly next door. on Captian Springs Road.

It's $20 to ride there. not too bad if the rain has held off for a bit.

We are heading to Neasvale this coming Sunday. Where did you guys park? I rang DOC and they said that Maratoto was closed as it was unpassable due to major slips?

Im keen to meet up with people and go for a thrash sometime, just about to finish of my long term DR250 project, and get a Ute.

Yea, Karapoti, would definately be keen, is that the main Legal track for us?

    sam

**EDIT** Ok, here are the directions, drove out there with Mrs last night...

From Upper hutt, head towards Te Marua Speedway, as you leave Upper Hutt, take the Akatarawa Rd (left), and push your Trip Meter to "0" drive for 5.5kms, and then the road has a Fork, with a side road to the LEFT, head down there, and turn left sharp, onto a One Way bridge, and drive for another 1.5kms, over one more dodgy as all hell wooden bridge, and there is a large car park.(park up, and bikes out)

I have not gone any further than this, but i may just get the old Pedal Power out, and have a look upthere, until i get the engine finished on the DR.

    regards

    sam

How did you go? I love riding on the Morototo, Stadia and Grapevine (Neasville) tracks but you gotta pick you timing - much easier after a decent dry spell. Ended up doing both the Grapevine and the Morototo after storms last summer and the bogs were huge. Theres some photos from the Morototo ride on our website. Great day out - can't wait to go again.

FYI - Morototo is controlled by DOC and they gave me a phone number to check track conditions and if it's open or not. (09) 524 2132 is the number but it's been engaged every time I call it lately? Normally only open from Labour weekend to Easter I think. The Grapevine and Stadia are a mixture of Crown and private land but I believe are open for any one to use. I'm told they link up but we've never managed to work out where or how?
