The 2009 championship is gonna be a ripper with great new bikes from Aprilia and BMW joining the fray, Spies in, and Bayliss leaving the scene open for the old campaigners (Biaggi, Corser, Haga, Checa) keen to grab a title before they sign off.

That's a big move from Yamaha to have a new bike with two rookies on board. Will be very interesting to see how they go.

Don't forget Tom Sykes in the Yamaha team. Will be great to see the US vs UK attitude and ability to adapt to being in the world.

Actually to me reads more like what a whinger the guy is and how slightly unrealistic he is.
If both Yamaha WSS and Kawasaki MotoGP and Kawasaki WSBK all don't want him you have to ask is he just a Biaggi with a little less talent...

I know I'm going against the flow here Cleve, but I have a lot of respect for West as he has put in some brilliant rides in the many different classes he has competed in.

And you've gotta admit - that Kawasaki is a bit of a disgrace to a maque with a rep for get up and go machinery...............

Even if he was crap I would have thought it polite to let him know he was on notice so he could put some feelers out for another ride (or job if no one wanted him). I am assuming that he had some sort of previous form or they wouldn't have hired him in the first place.
I'd be a bit miffed if my boss ignored all of my feedback about improving system reliability and performance then sacked me because the systems weren't performing. Especially if I found out from someone else first !!

Of course I am not in the top 18 or 20 systems programmers in the world
    Umm... or even Wellington probably

If an encumbent (how do you spell that ?) All Black is not going to be selected the coach gives him a call before the press find out.

Yes but that is HIS version of events and I don't necessarily think that may be the case. He moans that Yamaha didn't contact him and that Kawasaki never talked with him. In a way I can't say I blame them. Earlier in the 250's he moaned about how Aprilia weren't helping... after all this you just have to wonder, is it really all them or is actually just Ant West?

Oh yes and those precious wee All Blacks need to be let down softly these days don't they...
