interesting reading here from Guintoli, about his time on ducati motogp

    http://www.crash.net/motorsport/moto..._we_didnt.html

"Everyone in MotoGP relies a lot on electronics," said Guintoli, in answer to a question about the amount of electronics used by Stoner. "Casey is fast first because he is very talented and second because he obviously understood something about his bike that lots of other riders can't (me included!). More traction control doesn't make faster lap times; it's all a question of balance and confidence of the rider."

A good read (Gaz may not agree, lol.). Gotta give the Frenchie marks for being up-front. The sorta guy that I would sponsor.

Traction control aint doin a lot when goin into the corners - & all of those guys go in damm stinkin fast. Thats where a good chunk of the skill & time is, coming out is still relavant to the speed through the corner & no amount of traction control is going to make up for lack of skill goin in & through.......
    Your guys thoughts ?
    Glen

Was it Rossi that says something like "Give me the best possible tyre for the front - & anything round & black for the back" (or something like that).

Indicates the importance of the front hoop & the first/middle part of the corner compared to the exit........

So if they're all bloody fast going in without Traction Con, the difference is in the middle and coming out with throttle control ? (if you have no traction C.)

(the wife says I'm fast going in, but too fast on exit !!!!) Gaz.

ps Bill, we've seen Wingnut before, without TC ???

possibly. kiyonari said basically the same thing when asked about his wet laps at donnington. so long as he could trust the front he could care less where the arse went.
