man i was gutted to hear that .. was looking forward to dicing with ya, best ya get that van fixed for the next round dude!!
Hard luck Tony, there is always next time mate
Stink luck Tony. F1 was hotly competitive as usual.
bummer dude, see ya at Rd 4!
Don't know what grid you were looking at mate, but other than the front row, it was far from competitive.
38 seconds covering the grid?
Incidentally, 115% qualifying rules say that only the top 24 were within the cutoff, yet a hell of alot more than that raced.
One rider, was lapped 3 fucken times! That's dangerous.

I was talking about the pointy end mate. With regard to the cutoff, my understanding is that we operate the top 35 qualifiers cutoff and the 115% has only been provided as a reference point for Clerk of the course (and the MNZ Steward) to use at his discretion on the day. I don't want to hijack Tony's thread but are you suggesting that we should use the 115% cutoff? People were lapped in all the races I saw and took part in. It seems unavoidable in those sorts of conditions and with the large fields.
Don't think Tony would mind at all with the hijacking.
I've no doubt people are going to be lapped in those conditions, Christ, I was half a lap down in R1, but dude, 38 seconds a lap off the pace? Lapped three times?
To be fair, there was no mention of the 115% thing in the breifing, whereas other meetings it has been pointed out, so maybe it doesn't apply in wet conditions.
By no means is this a dig at the club, the meeting was run superbly as always, in VERY trying conditions. Big ups to every marshal and all you poor bastards that had to stand in the pissing rain all day so we could have a play in the puddles and Drew could play in the mud![]()

lol, yes it was apparent to me that my choice for a intermidate tyre was a bad one. I was very surprised I managed to get on the grid with them to be honest with a lap time of 1.39.xxx!!!!
That was the reason I sat out the first race and got wets fitted. In Qualfing it was obivious that trying to race on a substandard tyre was going to end in tears for me and maybe some poor other bugga!![]()
