Some model Katana's (Katman's) had the wire wheels... try vintage motorcycle clubs...or find out where Katman lives and ....

    the

1976 GS750B came out with wire wheels and single disc brakes on each end,The '77 GS750C also had wire wheels, twin disc on front and the same single disc on rear. this is the hub you are looking for. The first one with mags was the '79 GS750EN ( although I think from memory some C's also had mags., but the original "B" model of "76 was wire wheel only.
Very hard to find these hubs now as only the GS750 had rear disc, the GS550 wire wheel was a drum as was the GT550/750 and RE5

My memory came back. The 78 C had wires, the 78 EC had mags, also the original GS1000C came on wire wheels.

Yes you are right, but any of the disc brake rear hubs will do,as I will get new rims & spokes

Kawasaki and Honda also did a disc brake rear wire spoke wheel, might also be an option although it would require a bit more work

I got a Honda disc brake rear from Remnants for about $70-80, although it was about 2 years ago
