Apparantly they won't allow bikes to run if the track is wet anyway, so i guess it's 'weather depending' for all of us.

I won't be able to afford to ride in this event but there's a good chance I might come and watch you guys.

    Cool

    2 Questions:

If say we come down to watch you guys and gals race.

Are we allowed to bring our bikes out into the back pit area where all the pit crew park their vehicles etc.. you know where they store their tools etc.... Not right on the pit lane.... out where the grass area is. Gees I do hope you know what I mean....lol.

So that our bikes wont be in the car park....
And then all our bikes can be parked all together in a group..... and maybe also a lot safer.

The the next question is: Would it cost us more other than the cost to go in?
PS what is the cost again....?

yeh, they normally let bikes into the pit area to park, but if you're that far you might as well race It's fun-give it a go,just go in dyo where anyone can win even if you only do 20 sec 1/4's
From memory it's about $35 by the time you pay to get in and enter....
If I see any kb'ers there not racing I'm gonna kick yer asses

Definitely a no go if the weather holds true to the weather report, but they did say the samething about last Sun. What an awesome day that turned out to be. Will play the watch and wait game re: the weather. Just remember Huewy does not like to get predicted. If it is shit then I would be keen to have a go later, but this could be harder to organise the time free.

I'll just remind you that if it even looks like it's raining (by ministry of works definition)they won't let us run at all......and once you've paid and done 1 run before they cancel the event there's no refunds etc...

What, like three drops of rain on a rice paper and it's all off? Shit. better start plan for the next time then (probably next summer with those regs ).

Yeah I guess we'll just have to see how the weather looks on Friday morning and make the call. Rain was forecast for yesterday and today also but its been relatively dry so its probably a little premature to cancel based purely on the weather report.

I know this isn't ideal for the out of towners and others that need to go out of their way so they'd probably be better off considering it postponed unless they are willing to take the risk. Chances are even if tomorrow does go ahead that there will still be a lot of interest in another visit to the next event on Fri 18th Feb so those affected can aim for that.

Well I'm coming up rain, hail or shine so I will be at the drag strip and if it gets called off then it gets called off.
