    1987 FZR 750 Engine WANTED

WTB 1987 FZR750 Engine - in the interests of getting my bikeless mate back on the road. Who's got a cheap engine? (not sure if subsequent engines would fit, but may consider?) PM me. Cheers, Rich

Do you have an existing engine?

I know pete376403 has one without gearbox internals. Is that enough to help you? Send him a PM.
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

Sorry, that was sold a while ago, went to Kiwi Cowboy (a KiwiBiker) in Ranfurly.
That *may* have been an FZ750, not an FZR (bugger all difference, though)
That said, try KiwiCowboy as he may have bits left over (How many times can you recycle a motor?)

Also I don't believe later engines will fit - the cylinder block of the later (exup) style motors has a different angle to the first ones, so different frame.
it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.
those cheap ass bitches can do anything with ductape.

Thanks for clearing that up Pete.

I've 99.99% sure that the FZ750 and 1987 FZR750 motor are almost identical, the only difference being the pickup on the ignition on the FZR.
