That is exactly why I liked the original Batman movie so much. I can still remember going to the cinema with my dad to watch it quite a few years ago. I was but a wee lad, 8 years of age and I was positively scared shitless by some of the stuff... Left a lasting impression - a good one mind.
I really liked how Keaton managed to give Batman that psychotic edge I found lacking with other batman candidates.

Looking forward to seeing the new one!

    Totally Oscar worthy.

    10/10
I did see it, and his performance was good.

Agreed, Keaton is still the best Batman in my eyes, though Bale comes a close 2nd

Damn it, can't stop listening to the Danny Eflman 'Batman' theme from the 1st film.

    Catchy as!

    I really enjoyed the movie!

I don't think it was better than the first one though.

Indeed Heath Ledger's performance as the joker is legendary, but - and I guess that was done on purpose - there is no explanation or character development... The Joker, an agent of chaos, just IS. Where Nicholsons Joker had a background of sorts - Ledger's just comes out of the blue.

Bale does a good Batman - but his vapid billionaire facade is a bit too outgoing for my taste. I preferred the eccentric introspective presented by Keaton.

Some of the setups for the different scenes are a bit too far fetched for my liking. E.g. setting up serious amounts of explosives in the blink of an eye or rigging up a neural network compiling information from all cellphones in a metropolis alone, in a night...

Oh, and the batbike was utterly lame! I wonder how much money they were paid by tyre producers to chuck two such ridiculous pieces of rubber on it.

    The movie was EPIC.

BUT: Batman's voice was bordering on ridiculous, how could a throat cancer victim fight crime?

And i'm sorry, but Bale > Keaton.

Batman can't have curly hair! Fact.

Ah yes, I forgot the stupid voice, too much broken glass gargling and yet an affliction not suffered by Bruce Wayne. Mayhaps he drank a glass of harden the f#ck up juice prior to donning the bat suit.

Enjoyable entertainment if somewhat flawed, still it is Batman we're talking about, how do ya make a fantasy more realistic? 8/10 for me.
    Oh bugger

LMAO, exactly the same thing I said as I came out....loved the movie, best villian ever (still, not oscar worthy, but best I've seen in a "superhero" movie)....but when batman does that voice...killed the movie in my eyes.
