unthinkingly naming a child is one of the primary ways to blight it's life IMHO

-fer'instance, my daddy named me for john wayne ...... do you KNOW how difficult it is for a GIRL to do that walk??

John Wayn was Born Marion Robert Morrison but his parents changed the middle name to Michael becasue they wanted to give his brother the name of Robert.

John Wayne was given his name by studio excecs. He had no say in the name.

Duke was the name of his dog and as a kid he was known as Little Duke by the local fireman. He preferred Duke as his name instead of Marion.
